I wanted to test out my new GoPro HD Hero camera so I called The Phonetiks and ask if they wanted to shoot a music video in my brothers rat rod. They came over and we drove around and filmed for about an hour.

The Phonetiks were lucky enough to film an underground video for a special version of  “Riding With A Star” last month. I’m excited to see how the video turns out as it was recorded in a true gorilla underground format under the direction of  highly acclaimed and respected filmmaker Ryan Wise (Big Fantastic).  It was also impromptu and filmed on short notice and that made it even more raw and rugged. We will post more details as things become more solid and editing is finished.

I know it’s been awhile since we last kept you updated, so we wanted to let you know we are still alive. Yesterday, The Tyroneus/Phonetiks headed out to OB1’s practice spot to put in work for the live the Tyroneus Ashy To Classy tour coming up this spring. We will be posting a couple video sessions on next week so stay tuned!

It’s been a little while since we kept you posted, so here is an update. We’ve been busy as a team getting prepped for the release of Ashy To Classy. You may have heard that the album will be available November 1st. Just visit http://store.gamerunnaz.com and cop it then. But, here’s some exclusive 411 for all of you that have been following the blog…

Get ready for some of the best live Hip Hop you’ve seen in a long time. And, I’m not saying that, because it’s my album. I’ve put together some the best northwest musicians for our live set. A mixed live instrument & synth set that I hope will impress. So stay tuned on that. We will be posting more videos following the evolution of the indie tour for early 2009. And, I’m very excited to see this all go down.

Hey, and we are in what should be known as the post-production stage of The Phonetiks album. An in-depth preview of the album will be available December, and look for the hot release for the new year. I know we’ve been a little candid with keeping ya’ll posted on this new group, but expect a crazy cross-over 10 track album with all heat! No fillers.
