So, as many of you know who follow the GameRunnaZ Syndicate by Tweet, Myspace, Facebook, and/or our Blog, we are in the process of recording the first of our series of free mixtapes available from our website Free.GameRunnaZ.com . Our goal, as a Northwest Music Label, is to make sure our fans get a steady stream of fresh, raw, and uncut underground music from us. The mixtapes are a way for us to put out new music without any constraints straight to our followers.
So, with that said, I want to introduce the 5th & Oak Mixtape: This is a mixtape that covers a particular lost year of our little indie startup- 2002. This is when I got together with some new friends who didn’t even perform or write, and ended up making some of the nastiest, full frontal music I’ve ever been a part of. Honestly, it was the craziest time in my young adult life, and I’m surprised we were actually able to record anything. All I remember is Top Ramen and various types of illegal herbs, among other vices. So, the 5th & Oak Mixtape is finally here, offering some closure to years previously without release.
Big shot out to Jimmy Stools, Mo Jerzey, MXL, that greek food spot with the ridiciulous fries, the liquor store, the weedman, the $99 a week motel, the retrospectively desperate girls and every other element that played a part in putting together this masterpiece.
Life meets audio. The Underground Legend is the culmination of real life turned into real words. Forget the hype of Hip Hop. Tyroneus decided to document thoughts on paper, turn them to lyrics, and lace them with his original production style.
